I love it when my students turn in homework!

I have had so much fun teaching my students the fun ins and outs of photoshop and other tricks on the computer. I give my students homework each week and they haven't disappointed! Here are a couple of links to blogs of my students. They changed their photo title on their blog and added their name. They also created some fun sample invites, christmas cards and more! Thanks guys for playing along.

Homework Reminder!

I forgot to remind those that took the workshop last week that they had homework! There will be special surprises to those who take an extra effort to try something new with their newfound knowledge. Either email me your efforts, or print them off and share them with the class this thursday. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Layers, Layers & More Layers This THURSDAY!

This Thursday is the 2nd installment of the Photoshop Workshop classes. We are going to be learning all about Layers. What they are, how to create them, how to rearrange them, and more!

Here is the project for the class in 2 forms: in photoshop and then printed and created into a birthday card. The original design was created in the size of a standard business card. This makes it a fun and unique way to present it alone if you don't make it into a standard size card.

This idea is just one of many that is shared in the classes. If you missed the first one and really want to jump in, it's not too late! It is still cheaper to pay for all 4 classes than to pay for the classes individually. If you sign up now for all 4, you will get the handout and project from the first class along with individual teacher instruction 10-15 minutes prior to class or when it's convienient for you. Sign up today! Oh! I almost forgot, there is ALWAYS CHOCOLATE! See you Thursday!

Here is a little project for the class this Thursday

This is the thank you label created in photoshop and then below is the label placed onto a tag that can be given as a Thank You card. (Disclaimer, the scan is a little wonky with color since it has a bulky brad on the tag. The color looks MUCH better in real life) This is a project that you will take home from our first class. The project is just the icing on the cake.

The information you will gain from this first class is truly invaluable! I can't wait to share it with all of you!

Photoshop Workshop Class 1 is this Thursday!

I am excited to remind all of those who have already signed up and those wanting to sign up that this Thursday is the kick off class for the 4 class workshop! I have been working on making informative handouts and thinking of fun and creative ways for you all to learn how to play on the computer and make creations you can be proud of!

I added to this post the picture of Photoshop Elements 4.0. This is the program I will be teaching from. If you are unsure about the details of this program, please email me emflake@hotmail.com.

There is a newer version Photoshop Elements 6.0 that is a little fancier, but the information I will be sharing will still apply. Also, the tips and tricks I will be presenting throughout the workshops are applicable to other photoshop type programs, but the wording of the tabs and tools may differ.

Don't let this keep you from signing up. I know you will walk away with a new found knowledge of photoshop and using it for creative purposes!
